Diving in the Bunaken National Marine Park
    Bunaken and Lembeh Strait

    Bunaken
Bunaken Island The Bunaken reef is a chain of over 40 five star dive spots. The Marine Park is spectacular with the greatest concentration of tropical fish, coral species and world famous wall diving.

Clear, warm waters (sea temperatures usually range between 27-30 degrees C), light currents and calm seas allow easy access to the underwater attraction awaiting visitiors to the five-islands of the Bunaken-Manado Tua National Marine Park which sits directly offshore of Manado.

Diving Bunaken Bunaken is the standout favorite, with the highest density of schooling fish and the greatest probability to see larger species such as turtles, sharks, and napoleon wrasse. There are enough sites here to keep any diver happy for over a week without going elsewhere.

Bunaken Entrance Fee Tag Following local law, all visitors to the Bunaken Marine National Park must pay an entrance fee with two options:
    • 1-year collectable pin for Rp. 150,000
    • 1-day ticket for Rp. 50,000

    Lembeh Strait
To reach the Port town of Bitung, we travel just over an hour by car before boarding a local boat. This area is not for those who want to see big fish, sharks and the like, but you can enjoy "macro diving" and "critter diving". Clownfish This is the best place imaginable, with around 400 special species such as pygmy seahorses in the strait. In fact a great thing about Lembeh is that the area is a mecca for underwater film-makers and photographers, and this is because it is so easy to observe behavior rather than just pass by and appreciate the pretty fishes. The strait has a variety of dive sites, including a pinnacle, sand and rubble slopes, walls, bommies, and 4 wrecks, two of which are large freighters sunk in WWII. We have extensive experience in the area and enjoy diving the strait as much as our guests do…
